With two world premieres and
31 German premieres so far, the international and German manufacturers at Auto
Mobil International (AMI) in Leipzig
are clearly setting the scene for an upswing in car sales.
Well-known new exhibitors set to be welcomed included Bombardier
Recreational Products Inc. (BRP), eoil automotive & technology, Rad Center Derkum
and Real Garant Versicherung as well as Pirelli. Michael Borchert, managing
director of Marketing & Sales for Pirelli Deutschland GmbH, comments on his
company's premiere appearance in Leipzig:
"Pirelli is represented at AMI not least because even in uncertain times
we want to maintain and cultivate direct contact with our customers. We will be
presenting an extremely interesting and new product in Leipzig, specifically for drivers for whom
performance and safety do not conflict with optimised fuel consumption and
environmental awareness".
From 28 March to 5 April 2009, approx. 450 exhibitors are expected at
AMI and AMITEC in Leipzig,
coming from the sectors cars, individualisation and styling, vans/light
commercial vehicles, spare parts and accessories, car care, motor vehicle
services, as well as vehicle parts, garage workshop equipment and motor vehicle
maintenance. After 2007, the conference and fair "crash.tech" is back
at AMI, this time with a key focus on motor vehicle safety.
Focusing on the environment – AMI conference looks to
the future
The Auto Mobile International 2009 will focus even more closely on the
issues of alternative fuels and environmentally friendly technologies. An
international conference is premiered on 31 March 2009 with the headline
"Power Sources. Mobility. Innovations – What will drive us
tomorrow?". It takes a look into the technological and ecological future
of the car industry. Once again, many exhibitor items are being prepared on the
subjects of natural gas and LPG. Volker Lange says: "For years now, the
car industry has been exemplary at Auto Mobil International in terms of its
contribution relating to climate protection. Potential buyers are shown the
entire spectrum of enviornmentally friendly technologies, from natural gas and
LPG to electric, hybrids and hydrogen, from the most economical of diesel
engines to bioethanol fuel options. On offer now for already the seventh time,
the AMI Fuel-Saver Lesson is an outstanding way of showing drivers in practice
how to protect the climate and save money for themselves!"
See. Admire. Test
Summed up as "See. Admire. Test", a wide range of options is
available for AMI visitors to join in and try out. The key fixture is still the
unique offer of text drives. The special car show in the Glass Hall at the
Exhibition Centre focuses on "Film Stars". As they already did in
2008, a large number of actors, athletes and entertainers will take a seat on
the "AMI Celebrity Sofa".
