Anhembi Parque, the most versatile
and one of the largest event centres in Latin America, is located in São Paulo, the second
largest city in the world for doing business.
The centre´s 400,000 sq.m.
of exhibition space hosts 30 percent of all the events that take place in Brazil,
and 55 percent of all the events in the southeast of the country. It stages
more than 1,000 events per year, of various types and sizes. An estimated
eleven million people a year visit the Anhembi.
It is situated in a
privileged location, with easy access, close to the airports, hotels and main
highways.
It also has the largest car
park in the city, with 7,500 parking spaces and capacity for 13,000 vehicles
(rotating) per day.
The majority of the most
important trade fairs in Brazil
take place in the Anhembi Parque’s Exhibition Pavilion. Since it hosted the
Automobile Show in 1970, when it was first inaugurated, the largest and most
traditional space for fairs and events in Latin America has played an important
role in this market in São Paulo.
The Pavilion is subdivided
into three areas: North, South, and West, all in a single storey. Like all the
other venues in the Anhembi Parque, it is a large multi-functional area with
the capacity to stage up to three events at the same time. The Pavilion´s 'Monumental
Gateway', with its large terrace and panoramic views over the internal area,
provides an appropriately sophisticated entrance to the largest trade fairs in
the country.
The Anhembi Parque
Exhibition Pavilion also includes the Anhembi Center
for Public Bodies (CAP), which includes the Engineering and Traffic command
posts, Tourism Delegacy, Metropolitan Civil Guard and District City Hall of
Santana, thus ensuring security for visitors and tranquillity for the
organizers.
