The Geneva International Motor Show closed its doors Sunday
evening after eleven highly successful days. Visitors to the Show had the
opportunity to discover many new vehicles, enjoy special events and get an
insight into future options for individual transportation. A survey taken among
the exhibitors has confirmed their high level of satisfaction with the Show.
Clearly, the passion for automobiles persists with the public. The Geneva
International Motor Show remains the largest annual exhibition in Switzerland.
The 2010 edition will take place from March 4-14, 2010.
« We have the privilege of organising a Motor Show of exceptional quality as well as a long and rich tradition” said Mr. Luc Argand, President of the Show. The General Manager, Mr. Rolf Studer, added: “The attendance figures, the remarkable atmosphere, and the high levels of satisfaction of the exhibitors proved once again the public’s continued interest and the justification for the Motor Show, even in difficult economic times. »
The electronic entry control system registered a total of 648’000 entries. This result represents a slight drop in comparison to the 2008 Show (- 9.3 %), which saw a high influx of visitors.
