INTERAUTO 2009 closed its doors after five
successful days for exhibitors and visitors. INTERAUTO took place from 26 to 30
August 2009 at the Crocus Expo International
Exhibition Center
in Moscow.
More than 670 exhibitors from sixteen countries (Belarus, Germany,
Denmark, Italy, China,
Colombia, United Arab Emirates, Lithuania,
Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia,
Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine
and the Czech Republic) showcased their goods and services on 40,000 sq.m. of exhibition
space at INTERAUTO 2009 this year.
The key players in the national automobile industry
were represented by AvtoVAZ, KAMAZ, ZIL and GAZ. The exhibition was
accommodated in two fairground pavilions: the second pavilion (Halls No. 5, 8)
and the third pavilion (Halls No. 12, 13, 14) according to thematic focus of
the companies.
AvtoVAZ unveiled four debuts at once at the 5th International Exhibition INTERAUTO.
The station wagon LADA PRIORA and an updated version of the LADA 4х4 were
unveiled in the commercial cars section. And the debut of the LADA PRIORA SPORT
was the result of LADA SPORT’s team participation in the World Touring Car
Championship (WTCC).
KAMAZ matched AvtoVAZ by presenting great changes to
the models in its family of KAMAZ vehicles. At the exposition the company
showcased a number of restyled vehicles from the new line. KAMAZ-5308, the
bolster-type tractor KAMAZ-5340, dump trucks KAMAZ-6520 and KAMAZ-65115 were
presented in a new light. Literally all the units, assemblies and systems of
the vehicles had been modified and restyled. All the trucks they showed were
equipped with modernized cabins that offered improvements on previous models.
GAZ also impressed the visitors to the show by
demonstrating its electric vehicle Gazel-Electro.
One of the most important results of the exhibition
was the conclusion of a considerable number of contracts for participation in
INTERAUTO 2010. This fact underlines the commercial effectiveness of the event
for the exhibitors, who managed to establish quite a number of business
contacts within the framework of the exhibition and to strengthen their
positions in the market segment.
The exhibition was no less interesting for the media,
evidenced by the number of journalists who visited the event: about 500
journalists from 170 media organisations (publishers, television channels,
radio stations and Internet portals) were in attendance.
INTERAUTO
2010 will be held from 25 to 29 August 2010. Please contact Ms Manuela Höhn (manuela.hoehn@imag.de) for space
