Although the international industry faces huge
problems, the most important business platform for the Korean automotive
industry, the Seoul Motor Show, is opening its doors as announced from 2 to 12
April 2009 at the KINTEX in Goyang, Seoul / Korea. In
addition to the Korean car manufacturers KIA, Hyundai, Ssangong, Daewoo, etc.,
the big European car manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Lexus,
Volkswagen and Ford will also be present.
Taking part under the umbrella of the German joint
pavilion are ten companies from the automotive supplies sector: Brose, Webasto,
CRH, Hirschvogel and others will be showcasing state-of-the-art automotive
technology from Germany.
The fringe programme contains a number of highlights
for exhibitors as well as for visitors. These include international seminars on
the automotive industry, a college car design contest and a driving event
(motor and electric karts). Plus a 'Best Car of the Show' Award, which will be
awarded by the organizers.
