The organizers of IAA announced that 14 September 2007 will be India Day at this year’s IAA. As in 2006, during this day seminars will be held about the Indian automotive industry, the opportunities for German companies in India, and also the opportunities for the Indian automotive industry in Germany. Of course, a part of the day is reserved for business meetings between Indian and German companies.

High-ranking representatives of the Indian automotive industry are expected to attend the India Day.

The 62nd edition of IAA will take place from 13 to 23 September 2007 in Frankfurt.

The International Motor Show (IAA) is one of the most important and comprehensive trade fairs for the entire automotive industry anywhere in the world. The IAA Cars showcases not only passenger cars, vehicle tuning, passenger-car trailers, and workshop and garage equipment, but also concentrates especially on the manufacturers of automotive parts and accessories. Over 500 system and module manufacturers – the first- and second-tier suppliers, which also include several small and medium-sized companies – add to the show. There are also displays by logistics providers, various authorities and associations, publishers and service providers. The international character of the trade fair makes it a meeting place for decision-makers in the global automotive industry.

Almost one million visitors come to the IAA in Frankfurt every two years, and nearly 40 per cent of them are professional visitors.
