The 12th edition of OTOMOTIV 2007 – International Automotive Supply Industry, Components, Accessories & Service Equipments Exhibition – will be held from 8 to 11 November 2007 at the CNR-EXPO trade fair centre in Istanbul, Turkey.
The automotive industry, the second biggest sector in Turkey, is continuing with investments to supply domestic and export demand. Due to the presence of fifteen major international car manufacturers and the need for replacement parts, there is a great potential for international OEM and aftermarket producers. There are nine million vehicles on the road in Turkey, 90 percent of which are older than three years. Furthermore, Turkey is now implementeing a new system of inspection according to the German system (TÜV Süddeutschland won the tender for the implementation), which is leading to increased demand for spare parts and components.
OTOMOTIV 2006 attracted 533 exhibitors (113 international exhibitors) who showcased their newest technology and products on 45,000 sq.m. of indoor space to 49,300 visitors (4,020 international exhibitors). The scope of exhibits ranges from equipment and spare parts, metallurgy, organic materials and chemicals to workshop tools and equipment.
