Otomotiv 2007 – the most important commercial platform that brings Europe and Asia together took place for the 13th time at Istanbul CNR EXPO between 8 and 11 November 2007 and it expanded its targets. With the support of the automotive supply industry, OTOMOTIV 2007 has steered the sector’s trade potential by continuing to be the only organization that attracts a record number of exhibitors – 358 exhibitors and 36,560 professional visitors, among them 2,938 from abroad. These figures exceeded expectations and confirm the high value of the event as regards trade opportunities. The fair contributes greatly to the sector’s foreign trade as the widely-recognized exhibition in the scope of automotive supply industry components, accessories and service equipments in Turkey, a country with an automobile production capacity of over one million annually.

OTOMOTIV 2007 covered 45,000 sq.m. of indoor space. Very active promotional campaigns took place in the target countries in order to reach more international buyer groups.

The exhibitors in OTOMOTIV 2007 had the opportunity to establish new business and cooperation contacts. The latest systems and technologies have been introduced at the fair, a meeting place for the world’s most important buyers. The automotive trade show was also the venue of several panels, seminars and sector meetings.

For the first time an official Bavarian pavilion exhibited at Otomotiv 2007. Ten Bavarian companies from the automotive suppliers sector joined the official participation and showcased German state-of-the-art automotive technology. Due to the great success of the Bavarian participation in 2007 the Government of Bavaria is planning an official participation at OTOMOTIV 2008, which will take place from 29 October to 1 November 2008 at Istanbul CNR EXPO.
