The 78th edition of the Geneva Motor Show opens its doors from 6 to 16 March 2008 at PALEXPO in Geneva. At this year’s motor show, more than 260 manufacturers will be presenting their new or revised models and accessories.

With a net exhibition area of nearly 82,000 square metres, thus filling the seven halls at GENEVA PALEXPO, the Motor Show is once again occupying all Geneva Palexpo’s available surface area.

Around 700,000 visitors are expected from all five continents – generally 40 percent of them are foreigners from 80 countries – during the 11 days that the Show is open to the public.

Two manufacturers will be presented to the European public for the first time in Geneva, guaranteeing excitement, while visitors will be sure to find relaxation and entertainment in a new comfort zone.

The high-end brand Infiniti from Japanese parent company Nissan and the Chinese manufacturer BYD, established in 1995, have chosen the Geneva Motor Show for their brand launch in Europe.

More than 5,000 sq.m. were recently opened up on one storey below Hall 7, where restaurants – among them an upmarket Italian –, boutiques, video games, a children’s paradise plus daily competitions for young and old are aimed at drawing large crowds.
