The first
Motor World Macau, held at the Venetian Macao Convention & Exhibition
Centre, was successful, attracting 12,437 visitors over the three days of the
event. From 16 to 18 November 2007, this world-class show grouped together some
of the world’s most beloved auto brands.
The exhibits
featured at the show are considered to be industry gems. A total of 73
high-performance vehicles from 22 world-renowned motor brands surely lived up
to the theme of ‘Passion for Wheels’. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4, valued at HKD12
million, and the first Rolls-Royce drophead-built Phantom Drophead Coupe were
the focal points of the fair. Audi R8, Porsche 911 Turbo and Ferrari’s F430
were also centrepieces of the show. Special openings were staged by Audi, Ford
and Subaru, who launched their latest car models – the Audi A4, Ford Mondeo and
Ford S-Max and Lancer Evolution 10 respectively.
Motor World
Macau is different from many other car shows as it allowed visitors to experience
what it is like to be sitting in a super car. Most of the dream machines were
not roped off, and auto lovers were thrilled to have this chance to be up close
and personal with these luxury vehicles.
