Between 5 and 9 April 2008, AMITEC, a combination of workshop and vehicle components and service industries platform, was held in Leipzig for the eleventh time.

Staged in association with the AMI Motor Show for Central Europe, no other European show offers the specialists a similar opportunity to view the latest models of well-known manufacturers and obtain information about innovations and services in the fields of passenger car and commercial vehicle components, maintenance, care and repairs all under one roof.

The attraction of AMITEC has grown continuously in recent years, not just in Germany, but also internationally: with 52,100 trade visitors, the 2007 show established a new record. Another reason for cheer is the fact that the share of foreign visitors doubled in 2007 over the previous year. The majority of these foreign visitors came from Poland, the Czech Republic and other Central and Eastern European countries.

In 2008 AMITEC once again anticipates welcoming over 50,000 trade visitors and some 270 international exhibitors, showcasing their innovations and services on 20,000 square metres of exhibition space.
