With an annual production volume of nearly 3.9 million units in 2006,
Korea is one of the most important automotive manufacturers in the world. The demand
of car manufacturers for technology upgrade as well as attractive production
volumes open up great market opportunities to the foreign automotive supply
industry.
The seventh edition of Seoul Motor Show in 2009, the most important
business platform for the Korean automotive industry, will be held at KINTEX
(Korea International Exhibition Center), in Goyang City, starting with a Press
Day, from 2 to 12 April 2009.
The industry show, which opens under the theme of ‘Beautiful technology,
wonderful design’ will provide a comprehensive look at a wide range of
auto-related categories including passenger cars, commercial vehicles,
motorcycles and autoparts and accessories.
The biennial international exhibition, the country’s only motor show
accredited by OICA was inaugurated in 1995 and celebrates its seventh
anniversary next year.
The last show in 2007 attracted 188 exhibitors including auto makers and
parts manufacturer from eleven countries across the world and almost one
million visitors from 34 countries.
