When the electronica trade fair will start on 11th
November 2008 a total of about 3,000 exhibitors are expected at the world’s
leading trade fair for electronic components, systems and applications. About
1,250 exhibitors will be presenting automotive applications, the automotive
conference and the electronica automotive forum will present the latest
technologies and expert speakers.
The two-day program of the electronica automotive
conference starts November 10, 2008, i.e. a day before electronica 2008 opens
its gates. On the first day the conference programme is directed mainly to
experts from top management in the automobile industry, their component
suppliers and system suppliers. The topics of the second conference day are
designed to fulfill the needs of experts from technology management.
Main topics on the agenda include the hybrid vehicles
and their special components, new developments of sensors for chassis and
safety, availability of active and passive components for cars under increased
stress conditions as well as new developments in display technology. Another
focal point will deal with the special issues concerning semiconductors in cars
from high-temperature applications and current power electronics to the
development trends in ASICs and all the way to collaboration with semiconductor
manufacturers to ensure supply availability. Speakers will include experts from
BMW, Delphi, Sharp, Valeo and Volvo as well as Freescale Semiconductor,
Panasonic Industrial Europe, STMicroelectronics and Tyco Electronics AMP. A
total of 20 talks on specific subjects are planned over the two days of
the conference which is one of the most international of its kind in Europe.
The conference language on both days will be English.
The electronica automotive conference will be rounded
out by the electronica automotive Forum in Hall A6. Big names of the automotive
industry such as Bosch, Cherry, Elmos, Hirschmann, Renesas and Preh will boost
the attractiveness of the focus area and Hall A6. Exhibits in this focus area
will cover everything from infotainment solutions to safety concepts for the
automobile.
