British International Motor Show 2008, 23.07. – 03.08.2008, London /
Great Britain – Show Introduction
The award-winning British International Motor Show
returns to ExCeL London this summer, once again bringing glamour, excitement
and innovation to the capital. The world’s carmakers will return to London’s
Docklands from 23 July to 3 August. Building on the runaway
success of 2006, which saw the expo return to London for the first time in 30
years, the two-week extravaganza expects to attract over half a million people,
making it the biggest event in the UK.
Visitors will be able to see over six hundred cars, plenty
of global premieres and interactive features at the Show. More than 60
car manufacturers will be aiming to dazzle the crowd with their products
throughout the modern exhibition halls and outdoor display areas. Once all the
static stands have been pored over there are many live action events taking
place to entertain the crowd.
A heritage enclosure and parade will be showing off the glorious sights
and sounds of supercars from the past 50 years. Other popular attractions from
the 2006 show make a comeback, including the live-action motor theatre, a
challenging 4x4 off-road experience, the Autoglym supercar paddock and the
Motor Show music festival – featuring famous live acts in a purpose-built
dockside arena.
