Otomotiv 2008 – Only a few booths still available within the Bavarian
Group Participation
Turkey
is steadily growing into an international hub in the automotive sector; this
industry is among the most important in Turkey alongside textiles. By 2010
the number of vehicles produced will rise to around two million. Several car
manufacturers have already shifted complete production lines to the Bosporus. In addition to the expansion of production
capacities of OEMs a very dynamic automotive parts and components industry is
developing. With a market share of 20.5 percent Germany
is one of the biggest suppliers of parts and components to Turkey. In 2006
imports from Germany
increased by 19.6 percent to €7.0 billion.
Otomotiv
2008 is the premier automotive speciality products trade event in Turkey. It
draws all relevant professionals from the Automotive Manufacturing, Subcontracting,
Spare Parts, Accessories, Service Equipment, Distribution and Repair sectors in
the region to one place, the Istanbul CNR Expo Center.
The 14th
edition of OTOMOTIV will take place from 30 October to 2 November 2008. In 2007
more than 500 companies from 14 countries took part in this exhibition
including Germany, Italy, Austria,
Holland, Korea,
Taiwan, China, Iran,
Poland, UK, Thailand,
Pakistan
and UAE. Many countries were represented by national pavilions at the state
level such as Germany, China, Korea,
Taiwan and Iran. The
overall space of the exhibition was around 30,000 sq.m.
Due to the great cooperation opportunities for
Bavarian companies with the Turkish automotive industry, the Government of
Bavaria is planning an official participation at OTOMOTIV 2008, which will take
place from 30 October to 2 November 2008 at Istanbul CNR EXPO. Only few booths
are still available witin the Bavarian pavilion. The deadline for application
has been extended to 30 July 2008.
