With
double-digit growth rates in production, domestic demand and exports the Indian
Commercial Vehicle Sector is showing a very dynamic development for the last 6
years. In 2007 the production of commercial vehicles exceeded 560.000, making
India the 5th biggest commercial vehicle market and the 3rd
biggest growth market worldwide.
The
opening-up of the Indian truck and bus market, the growth of investments in
infrastructure and the growing emission-standards make India an attractive
location for German companies of the commercial vehicle sector.
The
presentation “The Indian Commercial Vehicle Sector: Trends and Challenges”
